Default Admin - upload of thumbnails not working

    Type: Support request
    Item Purchase Code: d5cabc38-d374-4594-8c39-122eebfbd384
    Hello again, Emanuel.
When I upload images to a gallery or portfolio, uploading an image works.
Uploading a thumbnail does not work.

    1. Upload thumbnail and image at the same time = blank screen. Both images in /upload/tmp
    2. Upload thumbnail on its own (no image) = blank screen. Thumbnail in /upload/tmp
    3. Upload image on its own (no thumbnail ) = Success. Image somewhere the system can find it but I can't.

It would be good if this photography site had some images on it! ;-)

    All the best,
    Chris

    Hi

Seems your server doesnt accept flash uploads. I enabled the POST upload but it will require larger amount of memory to be allocated to flash. Right now you can upload only small images.

Please mail your hosting support and ask them to increase the memory_limit variable for php.

    Cheers !

Default Upload limit increased - no effect

I have control over the php config file via Webmin.
    I have reset the following

    Maximum memory allocation = 1028Mb
Maximum file upload size = 20Mb
Maximum HTTP POST size = 20Mb

    It made no difference.

However, there are now a huge number of entries in the Apache error log - 3Mb in 15 minutes.
I tried a complete re-install and the original problem returned - Admin OK, site not working.
The site was crashing on start.
Last time you identified that Facebook library was crashing the site because of no JSON.
I installed JSON on the server so that shouldn't happen now.
Maybe the installation of JSON did not work.
How can I check that the JSON installation worked?

    Chris

Check your site now, the json issue its fixed.

Please "fix" the detector in case you reinstall again before i get the ne update on themeforest

    admin/lib/facebook.php/ line 13 should be define (FACEBOOK_SUPPORT , "0"); not define (FACEBOOK_SUPPORT , "1");

Default Site good. Image upload still 'loses' files in tmp

I have amended the original facebook.php file to match your fix on the server.
Its good to know what that fix is, thanks.

Tech support at MEMSET connected in to the admin site and tested the image file upload.
They can't see anything in the Apache log files to explain why the files are going into tmp instead of where they are supposed to go. Is it possible that there needs to be something installed server-side to give special support to the File Upload component?
    Incidentally, I use Firefox 9.0.1

    Hello

Usualy this issue comes from mod_security from apache. In many cases a simple disable for admin panel does the trick .

Sorry, Emanuel. I find no trace of mod_security in our Apache installation.
Is there anything specific I should look for?
