Fixes and updates

hi,

i created a database & i uploaded the file by ftp & give permission to "upload" file & sub files..
after i finished installing & gave me the admin log in details to copy.. i clicked to admin page to log in, but instead it shows the installing page again from the start ..

please help..

I think we solved this over the email if its other person then let me know. In that particular case the server was missconfigured and after the installer created the storage folders it didnt have access to write the actual files within.

The solution was to manualy create the storage folders and chmod 777. ( basicaly just copy all the content from install/content-default/ ) and then rerun the installer

This is an insanely intricate template, awesome.

Glad I bought it. Wish I hadn't bought the other one at all now, this is far more fun to customize, and has lots more modules to play with.

If you're on the fence about a template to buy, BUY ROBUST. Or anything on here, the Flash stuff rocks too.

I just bought the template at Themeforest.net 2 days ago in August 19. are all these updates applied already to the template? or do I have to redownload and reinstall these patches?

Are their any updates forthcoming on this theme? As we review some of the newer templates on themeforest, we are starting to see this cms template fall behind on features. Some features we would like to see in this template so that we can start buying more licenses to use for development of client sites:

1) Color picker for various features of site such as backgrounds and fonts (i.e. color picker for header, body, footer, fonts, etc). Color pickers are becoming standard on all the top themes and really Robust should incorporate this feature to live up to its name!

2) Some new widgets such as a poll widget, advertising widget to connect to amazon (we have some schools that we are seeking to use robust for, and they want to be able to show a little advertising widget that connects to Amazon so they can link to various books and collect the amazon commission), events widget (very popular for many service businesses for registering guests for events), quick contact form widget, weather widget, and a live chat widget.

3) The features Rich Pearson indicated in his post back in June this year in the feature requests thread - perhaps the login and search features could be made into widgets so that they can be placed in any sider or footer throughout the site.

We really like Robust, but every time we put it in front of a client for consideration, it is falling short because the color schemes are quite jarring and inflexible, and due to the lack of the other features indicated above and in the features thread.

We look at a theme like the Striking WP theme at themeforest, and the author has sold almost 600 in less then 30 days, and at least once a week is posting updates - adding virtually every single suggestion that is coming from their comment thread.

Robust could easily equal those sales if you pushed your support and ongoing updates to the frequency of Striking. There is a big market for a non WP CMS system, and Robust just has to go a few more steps and it will be in a position to grab it.

It would be helpful if at least we had the option of adding some of your other products you market on your support thread to Robust - right now even that apparently is not possible.

Anyways, we hope their are some forthcoming updates, Robust has lots of potential, and hope you will take these comments in the postive spirit in which they are intended.
