Default Solution for adding a new drop down menu

    Hello iDomani,

You probably already figured out how to create new drop down menus on your site, but here is a solution for you or anyone else that is looking for this info.

    PART 1
    1) In your Admin panel go to Configuration>Enabled Modules and click on Add New Record.
    2) On Select Module Type*: choose Category. (Category is what actually makes the drop down menu)
    3) On Parent Module: choose [select].
    4) On Menu Title*: type in the name of your drop down menu (ex. Dropdown2).
    5) Click the NEXT button. You'll be lead to another page where you will add your Header and Meta info and then click Save.

    PART 2
Now go back to Configuration>Enabled Modules and click on Add New Record again.
    1) On Select Module Type*: choose the Mod type you want to use for your page like Text Page.
    2) On Parent Module: choose the name you gave your drop down menu. I used Dropdown2 for this sample so that's what I would have chosen. (This is where you are nesting the link in the drop down menu.)
    3) On Menu Title*: type in the name of the page you want to create (ex. Item 1).
    4) Click the NEXT button. You'll be lead to another page where you will add your Header and Meta info and then click Save.

Then all you have to do is repeat PART 2 for every new link you want to add to your new drop down menu.

I hope I made this clear enough and that it is helpful.
    -Pete

    Default Drop Menu

    Hi all sides ...

found the above mentioned very helpful - i followed it through and it worked fine,

then i went to test the front end and found this error script

DB ERROR:SELECT item_id, item_title,item_url,item_date FROM site_oxymall_plugin_blog_items WHERE module_id= ORDER BY item_date DESC LIMIT 5 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ORDER BY item_date DESC LIMIT 5' at line 1

would be very grateful for advise, thanks
