Install an Iframe Application on a Facebook Fan Page

Follow these steps to add any application to a Facebook fan page:

1. If you don't have an account yet, create one here

2. Verify your account (account settings > mobile)

3. Create a page for your product/company here and remember it for later when you will add the application

4. FTP login to your server and create a directory for all your future Facebook applications, lets call it facebook. We'll use IANA — Example domains as a domain name example, but you must use your own domain name. So, right now we have this location:

5. Inside the facebook directory, create a directory for you application, let's call it my_app and we have this location:

6. Usually our Facebook application packages have a directory name 2-PublishedSWF. Here you can setup the applications using the XML files, if any. This folder usually contains an index.html file. Upload the contents of this directory inside the my_app directory on your server.

7. To create a new Facebook app, follow this link. You will be able to click the Setup New App button, if your account is verified.

8. In the next screen, enter an app name, agree to the terms and click Create App

9. Enter security code and your at the app edit screen where we first select the Web Site tab.

10. For a domain called IANA — Example domains we should enter IANA — Example domains for Site URL and example.com for Site Domain. Select the Facebook Integration tab.

11. Try to enter an unique page name for Canvas Page. For Canvas URL, enter IANA — Example domains
For Tab Name, enter your application name, and for Tab URL enter my_app (the name of the directory we've setup before)

12. Click Save Changes, and on the next screen, at the right, click on Application Profile Page

13. On the application page, on the left column, click on Add to My Page and select the page that you have created before. Click Close and click the Facebook logo to take you to your homepage

14. On the left column, select Ads and Pages (you may have to click more... first) and select the page you've created

15. Once you're on the page, select the tab of your application to see it

but it showing this message:

The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method (HTTP verb) was used to attempt access.
Please try the following:

Contact the Web site administrator if you believe that this request should be allowed.
Make sure that the Web site address displayed in the address bar of your browser is spelled and formatted correctly.
HTTP Error 405 - The HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed.
